CAD Draughtsperson & Assistant Proposals Engineer
LOCATION | Nuneaton, Warwickshire
DEPARTMENT | Engineering/ Proposals
RESPONSIBLE TO | Operations Manager
SALARY | £25,000 to £30,000
Your responsibilities are but not limited to:
- To prepare CAD layouts using Autocad, Sales GA layouts, civils layouts, flow diagrams, pipework layouts, stairs and access layouts.
- To be capable of communicating with suppliers for information and layouts.
- Have an understanding of British Standards for stairs, walkways, access platforms etc. would be advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Be proficient in the use of Autocad.
- Advantageous if any experience in 3D software.
- Work with the Engineering department and Proposals department.
- Working from an arrangement drawing or by measuring components etc.
- Liaise with customers \ suppliers \ other members of staff to ensure feasibility and cost effectiveness of design
- Ensure drawings are reviewed and revised as necessary. Keep all documentation upto date.
- Able to use Microsoft Office to include word, excel, outlook, power point etc.
- Must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Previous experience of working in a CAD/Mechanical environment and proposals department advantageous.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:
Qualification Required
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Excellent communication and ‘people skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Good IT and report writing skills
- Strong team player
Requirements
- A full driving licence
- Valid UK Passport
- 4 ½ day working week.
- £25,000 – £30,000 Competitive salary depending on experience.
