The Role
Tyréns UK is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead the selection and implementation of a project-based ERP system. This is a business-critical transformation role, delivering the full lifecycle of ERP implementation from requirements definition through to deployment and retirement of legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a business-critical ERP system implementation, defining scope, governance, timelines, and overall delivery roadmap.
- Take full ownership of programme outcomes, including risks, dependencies, and successful delivery against business objectives.
- Engage stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements and translate business needs into system and process solutions.
- Lead vendor selection activities, including RFI/RFP processes, evaluation, and recommendation of suitable ERP solutions.
- Oversee system implementation, configuration, and rollout, ensuring effective integration with existing platforms.
- Manage data migration, cleansing, and validation to ensure data integrity and continuity.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and change management, ensuring effective communication, training, and adoption across the business.
- Lead the transition from legacy systems, including decommissioning and process standardisation.
- Establish and maintain effective project governance, providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
- Align business and technical stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and clarity throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience delivering ERP implementations and system integrations within complex business environments.
- Background in the AEC or professional services sector, with an understanding of project-based operations.
- Experience working with project-based ERP systems such as Deltek, Rapport3, or similar platforms.
- Track record of operating within mid-to-large, international organisations (500+ employees).
- Strong experience in vendor management, including selection, engagement, and delivery oversight.
- Ability to operate effectively in a stand-alone role, taking full ownership of delivery and outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Strong communication and influencing capability, both written and verbal.
- Delivery-focused, with a structured approach and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Good level of commercial awareness, with an understanding of how systems support business performance and decision-making.
