Recognised as one of South East's leading independent FM services, managing all trades associated with Facilities Maintenance, building works, refurbishment, M&E and commercial cleaning, this dynamic company is looking to enhance the Projects team with a full-time, permanent Project Manager to support business growth across Kent and London.
LOCATION: Greater London/ Kent (3 days a week) Office based- Dartford (2 days a week). Driving Licence required.
SALARY: £50K- £60K basic (depending on experience), plus expenses, additional benefits & pension.
HOURS: Full Time, Permanent.
As an experienced Project Manager, you will be part of a dynamic projects team, where you will be responsible for managing and driving forward a range of projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the company's best practice, building codes and procedures, H&S regulations and statutory requirements.
Day to day Project Management duties include:
- Negotiate contracts, communicate with relevant parties.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, orders and reports.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Supervise the works and personnel; provide technical support and advice.
- Evaluate progress and adapt scope, timelines and costs; Prepare reports.
- Deliver excellent customer service and a professional image to clients.
- Establish safe systems of work and compliance to risk assessment, method statements, COSHH and mandatory signage.
- Obtain permits and licences from relevant authorities.
- Identify leads and ongoing business development opportunities.
- Create and maintain strong key account relationships.
You will be an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong track record in preparing and negotiating quotes and tenders. You will have a solid background in managing Site Managers and Subcontractors, ideally with experience as working as a principal or main contractor, enabling you to deliver outstanding results to the client.
You will be a Project Manager with natural leadership abilities, a strong commercial awareness, excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and time management skills, along with the initiative to build and maintain successful business relationships.
With strong contract administration skills, you will be IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook. You will also hold a construction related qualification, such as Construction Management, Building Surveying or Construction Project Management and a solid understanding of Construction Processes.
