This dynamic, reputable Joinery company are looking for a permanent, full-time Delivery Driver ideally with a Joinery Workshop background to load and deliver architectural woodwork, staircases and door frames to new build construction sites and renovation projects across the Southeast.
LOCATION: Workshop based- Littlehampton, West Sussex.
SALARY: Competitive salary plus benefits and pension.
HOURS: Monday to Friday.
As a Delivery Driver, your role will involve safely transporting bespoke joinery items to residential and commercial clients across the Southeast. It is so much more than just driving; you will be working closely with the workshop team of joiners, preparing the furniture, doors and staircases, ready to take to site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials and products with care and precision.
- Assist workshop team in moving goods, components, and materials internally.
- Inspect vehicles for maintenance issues and keep them clean and roadworthy.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
- Support the workshop team with general tasks during quieter driving periods.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
You will have a full UK driving licence, experience driving vans or a small truck, possibly a Forklift Truck. You will be physically fit, able to lift/move heavy and delicate items and ideally have a trades background such as Joinery/ Construction/ Building Products. Whether you have a Joinery / Trades/ Driving background, you will take real pride in the quality of your work and be happy to work at a fast pace to ensure works are completed on time, to the required standards.
