SUMMARY The Global Social Media Manager is the creative heartbeat and on-screen presence behind TYPEBEA’s global social channels. This role leads and executes the brand’s organic social strategy while also acting as a key content creator and recognisable face of the brand across platforms. With a strong editorial eye and deep understanding of beauty culture, trends and community, this person creates content that adds value, entertains, and converts. Owning end-to-end global social performance, they are responsible for driving engagement, follower growth and DTC impact through always-on, culturally relevant, personality-led content. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who loves being both behind and in front of the camera, thinks like a creator and operates like a brand builder.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social Planning & Execution Execute TYPEBEA’s global organic social strategy across TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn, driving engagement, audience growth and commercial performance. Own global social performance across defined KPIs including engagement rate, follower growth, reach, CTR, conversion, and DTC revenue contribution, using performance insights to continuously optimise content, formats, and posting strategy. Deliver, track, and optimise content against commercial KPIs, testing formats, hooks, and narratives to drive efficiency, scale top performers, and correct underperforming content. Explore and test emerging platforms, channels, and content formats (e.g., Substack, new social apps, audio or short-form video platforms) to identify opportunities for audience growth, engagement, and innovative brand storytelling.
  • Content Creation & On-Camera Presence Act as a key on-screen talent and brand face across TYPEBEA’s owned social channels. Create, shoot and edit high-performing, low-fi social content using native platform tools and in-app editing. Develop personality-led, informative and entertaining content that adds value to the community, not just brand promotion. Own the social content calendar and approve all organic content prior to publishing.
  • Community & Brand Voice Own community management across platforms, actively engaging with audiences to foster loyalty, conversation and growth. Maintain and evolve TYPEBEA’s social tone of voice, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Collaboration & Shoots Brief and collaborate closely with internal creative, digital and paid teams to ensure organic and paid social work cohesively. Work with the Head of Global Comms and Campaigns to deliver all social components of content shoots, campaigns, founder activity and brand trips.
  • Retail, Creators & Partnerships Work closely with key retail partners (Sephora, Marks & Spencer, Boots) to create platform-appropriate content that resonates with their audiences and supports commercial goals. Lead and execute social-first brand partnerships and creator collaborations that feel brand aligned, culturally relevant and performance-driven. Manage founder-related social content, briefings and performance, acting as a key point of contact to optimise output, impact and authenticity.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Proven experience creating and publishing content for TikTok and Instagram, with a strong instinct for what performs organically.
  • Highly hands-on, with experience planning, posting, optimising and analysing content directly within social platforms and tools.
  • Confident and comfortable being on camera and acting as a visible, consistent face of a brand.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, creator culture and emerging formats.
  • Commercially minded, with experience using organic social to drive engagement, audience growth and DTC performance.
  • Highly organised, proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Passionate about beauty, haircare and cultural trends.
  • Experience working with founders, creators or talent is a plus.
