We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to lead and develop a growing DevOps capability within a technology-driven organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys remaining hands-on technically while leading a small team and influencing the future direction of cloud infrastructure, automation and platform engineering. Working in a modern Microsoft Azure environment, you’ll take ownership of the organisation’s cloud platform, drive DevOps best practices and work closely with development, security and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of DevOps Engineers.
- Take ownership of the Microsoft Azure platform across IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Drive improvements to cloud infrastructure, automation and operational resilience.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or similar technologies.
- Work closely with Development, Security and Infrastructure teams to improve delivery and platform reliability.
- Manage Azure governance, identity management and security best practices.
- Monitor platform performance and implement continuous improvements.
- Oversee infrastructure change management and operational processes.
- Manage relationships with third-party technology partners and suppliers.
About You
You’ll ideally have experience in most of the following:
- Commercial experience leading DevOps or Infrastructure teams.
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience.
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Terraform, Bicep or other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
- PowerShell or automation scripting.
- Azure networking, compute and storage services.
- Entra ID (Azure AD), PIM, IAM and identity management.
- Kubernetes, Docker or container platforms.
- Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working within regulated or enterprise environments would be advantageous.
