A leading financial technology organisation is looking to appoint an experienced PMO Manager to support the continued evolution of its software development and product delivery function. This is a highly influential role focused on enabling predictable, efficient and sustainable delivery across multiple technology initiatives. Working closely with Product, Engineering and senior business stakeholders, you’ll establish lightweight governance, improve work prioritisation, enhance delivery visibility and help embed best practice across the development lifecycle.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving delivery maturity without introducing unnecessary process, helping teams deliver more effectively while providing senior leadership with meaningful insight into progress, risks and priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Define, implement and continuously improve the PMO operating model
- Establish and manage a clear work intake and prioritisation process
- Maintain visibility across delivery portfolios, roadmaps, risks and dependencies
- Support capacity planning, sequencing and delivery prioritisation decisions
- Introduce and maintain governance, reporting standards and quality assurance processes
- Monitor delivery performance through KPIs, metrics and reporting dashboards
- Identify, manage and mitigate delivery risks, issues and dependencies
- Work closely with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to improve delivery outcomes
- Educate stakeholders on delivery processes and Agile ways of working
- Drive continuous improvement across project management and software delivery practices
- Proven experience leading or managing a PMO, Programme Management Office or Delivery function
- Strong understanding of Agile, project and programme delivery methodologies
- Experience designing and embedding governance, reporting and delivery standards
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience managing delivery risks, issues and dependencies
- Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced technology environment
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and delivery optimisation
- Experience within software development or technology delivery environments
- Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services or FinTech
- PMO, PRINCE2, AgilePM or equivalent project management qualifications
- Experience with portfolio reporting and delivery dashboards
- Knowledge of modern Product or Engineering operating models
