A leading financial technology organisation is looking to appoint an experienced DevOps Manager to lead and evolve its cloud infrastructure and DevOps capability. This is a strategic, hands‑on leadership role where you’ll oversee a high‑performing DevOps team while driving reliability, scalability, automation and operational excellence across a modern Microsoft Azure estate. Working closely with engineering, security and senior technology leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping infrastructure strategy, improving platform resilience and supporting the organisation’s continued technology transformation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing DevOps team
- Own and evolve the organisation’s Microsoft Azure platform across IaaS and PaaS services
- Drive improvements in platform reliability, scalability, security and operational performance
- Oversee Azure infrastructure, networking, storage and platform services
- Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Manage infrastructure governance, change management and operational processes
- Monitor platform health, identify risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, security and enterprise IT teams to align technology strategy
- Manage relationships with third‑party service providers and support partners
- Provide structured reporting and strategic updates to senior technology leadership
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure across IaaS and PaaS environments
- Proven experience leading DevOps or Infrastructure teams
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure management
- Experience managing highly available production environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing infrastructure governance and change management processes
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior technical and business stakeholders
- Experience within Financial Services or regulated environments
- Knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), PIM and identity governance
- SQL Server and Microsoft data platform experience
- Experience working with managed service providers or outsourced support models
- Experience implementing or managing 24/7 operational support environments
