Join Tyne Rivers Trust as our Project Delivery Manager. This is a key new role which will establish strong foundations for organisational growth by ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality project delivery across our expanding operations.
We are Tyne Rivers Trust, the only environmental charity dedicated to looking after the iconic Tyne and its tributaries. We work to improve our rivers through conservation action and engagement. In 2026, we acquired Northumberland Rivers Trust, expanding our project area by 95%. With growing environmental pressures, this is an exciting time to join the Trust as we scale our operations and prepare for significant growth to match the scale of challenges our rivers face.
You will:
- Lead the safe, compliant delivery of capital environmental projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to required specifications.
- Coordinate contractors, resources, and technical inputs while securing necessary consents and managing pre-construction activities.
- Develop and maintain high-quality project management processes, site standards and strong relationships with landowners, partners, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development through technical input to bids and tenders, identifying opportunities and supporting organisational growth and procurement.
- Act as Health & Safety Officer, leading H&S policy implementation, risk management, reporting and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Support wider organisational objectives, including communications, fundraising, collaboration and contributing expertise across projects.
What We're Looking For:
- IOSH Managing Safely and SMSTS (or appropriate CSCS) or willingness to undergo necessary training.
- Full understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.
- Experience delivering capital environmental or construction projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Experience managing site health and safety, including RAMS, CPPs, site inductions, and toolbox talks.
- Experience coordinating contractors and subcontractors, embedding safe systems of work.
- Experience working collaboratively with teams, volunteers, and external partners.
If you do not meet all the criteria but are still motivated by the role, please get in touch. We believe the most important thing is the person and their attitude and are keen to hear from you.
