Salary Scale: Lecturer Salary Scale – Spine Points 24‐31 – £31,283 – £39,279 per annum.

Teaching Hours: 864 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support up to 70 Y11 students for their GCSE exams.
  • Deliver lessons in class sizes of no more than 14, covering five different groups within the Youth College cohort.
  • Work closely with a dedicated Attendance Welfare Officer, Youth College Manager, and pastoral support network to provide holistic support to learners.
  • Collaborate with the Youth College teaching team to design engaging, creative, and innovative lessons.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Youth College curriculum and teaching practice.
  • Participate in college events, meetings, and training sessions as required.

Requirements

  • Experience with GCSE, Functional Skills, and FE provision is advantageous.
  • Passion for mathematics and a genuine desire to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
