The Role

We are looking for a Maths Lecturer to join the Maths Department at Tyne Coast College. The role involves delivering an energised maths curriculum that captivates and motivates students, collaborating with fellow educators, and exploring innovative pedagogical approaches such as hybrid teaching and AI technologies. Additionally, the lecturer will engage with the intersection of sustainability and education, equipping students with knowledge and tools for a positive future.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging maths lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching practices.
  • Implement hybrid teaching methods and leverage AI tools to enhance learning.
  • Integrate sustainability concepts into the maths curriculum.
  • Support student success through mentoring and assessment.

Qualifications

  • Taught for GCSE, Functional Skills or FE level, or newly qualified teaching experience with a genuine passion for maths.
  • Strong knowledge of maths teaching and ability to inspire learners.
  • Experience with technology‑enhanced teaching is advantageous.
