At Tyne Coast College, we pride ourselves on our excellent facilities and a dedicated, knowledgeable team who work collaboratively to support every learner’s journey. We are currently seeking Learning Support Assistants to join our inclusive and learner-focused team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide tailored support to learners with a range of disabilities, both in group settings and one-to-one.
  • Assist in the delivery of learning programmes, including support with Maths and English.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to ensure learners reach their full potential.

✅ Essential Requirements:

  • Experience supporting SEND Learners, across a range of disabilities.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/Level 2 or willingness to work towards.
  • Strong communication and ICT skills.
  • A positive, empathetic attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting learners with behaviours that challenge.
  • Experience supporting learners in Maths and English.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Education and Training.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Awareness of current developments in Further Education and SEND.
