In accordance with the Company policies and procedures to assist the Head Housekeeper/Deputy by taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that the specified standard of performance is achieved, whilst achieving maximum guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness and order in all areas controlled by Housekeeping, ensuring that these areas are systematically cleaned and spring-cleaned to the stipulated standard.
- To provide assistance and support to Room Attendants and Linen Porters.
- To ensure that discipline and high morale is maintained, advising the Executive Head Housekeeper of any problems.
- In conjunction with the Head Housekeeper to forward plan for the Department, identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- To check areas continuously for maintenance problems liaising with all Housekeeping staff and report any concerns to the Maintenance Department through the Hotel's procedures. Follow up on work carried out and report problems to the Head Housekeeper.
- To carry out all duties in a safe manner, having regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, other members of staff, guests and other persons on Hotel premises.
- To check daily the arrival lists, ensuring that any special requests, gifts, flowers, etc., are attended to. Inform the Linen Porters and Room Attendants accordingly and co-ordinate actions necessary to meet these requests.
