My client is a leading independent asbestos management consultancy in the UK with many years of industry experience, specialising in the identification, testing and monitoring of asbestos.

Job purpose: To undertake all aspects of required site work to the Company’s required standard and level of satisfaction. The position has become available due to a busy workload.

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • BOHS P402 Required
  • Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings
  • Experience of undertaking various asbestos surveys to a variety of commercial and domestic properties
  • Familiarity of working for a UKAS accredited company
  • Experience of using hand-held data collectors is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Carrying out ‘Management’ and ‘Refurbishment and Demolition’ Surveys on domestic and commercial premises as well as schools and other public sector buildings
  • Conducting bulk sampling within the region
  • Liaising on a daily basis with clients, contractors and their representatives as well as members of the public

Requirements:

  • A full UK driving license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • A good eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible
  • The desire to maximise their full potential through further training and site-based experience
