My client is a leading independent asbestos management consultancy in the UK with many years of industry experience, specialising in the identification, testing and monitoring of asbestos.
Job purpose: To undertake all aspects of required site work to the Company’s required standard and level of satisfaction. The position has become available due to a busy workload.
Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- BOHS P402 Required
- Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings
- Experience of undertaking various asbestos surveys to a variety of commercial and domestic properties
- Familiarity of working for a UKAS accredited company
- Experience of using hand-held data collectors is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Carrying out ‘Management’ and ‘Refurbishment and Demolition’ Surveys on domestic and commercial premises as well as schools and other public sector buildings
- Conducting bulk sampling within the region
- Liaising on a daily basis with clients, contractors and their representatives as well as members of the public
Additional requirements:
- A full UK driving license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- A good eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
