Tyler Hill Consulting is currently seeking a Head of Grid Delivery to lead the business development and project delivery of our newly established Independent Connection Provider (ICP) services. This role involves managing the entire pipeline of ICP projects from design to energization, including procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Techno-Commercial Manager with a strong background in the ICP process, electrical design and build, and substation construction. They should have expertise in managing full project lifecycles, including legal and technical aspects, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.
This role is vital for the growth of our business and the successful delivery of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) projects across Industrial & Commercial and Renewable Energy sectors.
The primary purpose of this role is to work closely with existing and prospective clients to identify, develop, and secure new demand and generation electricity connection projects in the UK. This involves technical input and negotiation, managing commercial risks, and securing financial commitments to meet sales targets.
As Head of Delivery, you will oversee the design and technical aspects of ICP projects, collaborating with design and engineering teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the quality of technical documentation. You will establish and lead a team of project and construction management professionals and subcontractors responsible for the safe and high-quality construction of grid connection assets.
Strong knowledge of UK grid policies, regulations, and methodologies, along with relevant Construction and Health & Safety standards, is required. Technical expertise in electricity networks, ENA Engineering Recommendations, and grid connection methodologies is essential.
The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between engineering, project management, and client stakeholders, ensuring that design and technical objectives align with project requirements.
