What you will be doing:
- Assisting with the creation of internal and external facing BNG related resources to knowledge share and streamline BNG processes
- Quality assure a range of biodiversity assessments including BNG feasibility and Full BNG Assessments, HMMPs, Biodiversity Gain Plans and other BNG related deliverables
- Identify knowledge gaps internally and externally for development (both personally, Tyler Grange and client)
- Assisting with training delivery and mentoring of peers
- Work with the Senior Leadership team and BNG lead to continue to develop TG\βs BNG service vision as BNG develops to help TG be a market leader in BNG solutions
- Assist with consultation and engagement with clients and stakeholders including planning
- Keep up to date with emerging guidance and case law
- Work with the Morph/RCA accredited surveyors to undertake surveys and streamline approaches
- Lead on QA, but able to produce BNG assessments of tricky sites, complex HMMPs
What we\βre looking for
- Knowledge of how BNG fits within the planning system/process
- Experience of botany surveys and knowledge of UKHab to support surveys and assessments of habitats
- Ideally experience using GIS software and digital field capture tools (particularly Coreo) and AI resources to support development of digitisation methods
- Knowledge of up-to-date guidance and case law relating to BNG
- Knowledge and/or experience setting up habitat banks for BNG and the practical management of habitats for biodiversity would be beneficial
Salary: Β£39,390 β Β£46,590 per annum (plus Β£3,000 HCLA for London), dependent on experience. Pay points advertised currently reflect our 2025 salary banding. All pay points are reevaluated at the beginning of each year to consider inflation and other potential changes. We are passionate about pay transparency and equal and fair pay. Location: Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Cardiff, Exeter, London. We operate a hybrid working model with an expectation of 2 days a week in the office β this can include on-site days.
