EMEA Strategic Enterprise Account Executive

The role
We are looking for a sales person to facilitate the acquisition of Enterprise prospects within our EMEA region. Enterprise is defined as businesses of over 5,000 employees with the headquarters in the region. You will be part of the Commercial Sales team comprising Account Executives, Account Managers, Solution Architects and Customer Success Architects. This role reports to the VP of Sales.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing using the MEDDPICC mindset for deal qualification across multiple stakeholders.
- Own commercial responsibility for creating accurate contracts and acting as the contact between Tyk and the prospect.
- Author customer‑facing documentation including written proposals and financial assessments.
- Collaborate with the Commercial sales team for executive board level meetings, technical demonstrations, and platform assessments.
- Facilitate account onboarding handover with Account Management and the customer to create a smooth handover process.
- Live the Tyk Values everyday to become an active contributor to our company and support the Mission.
- Utilise prospecting, social, and CRM tooling to engage and accurately communicate the progression of sales opportunities within your territory.
- Create personal development activities including job‑related training and personally identified projects.
Requirements
- Enterprise sales experience with a technical product background preferred.
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, procurement processes, and the MEDDPICC framework.
- Ability to navigate complex deals, address objections effectively, and create compelling proposals.
- A genuine interest in API, digital technologies, software development, and web technologies.
- Working knowledge of Project Management and Process Improvement.
- Ability to understand business requirements within a prospect and translate to sales opportunities.
- Effective listening, communication & presenting capability to an excellent level. English proficiency in both written and verbal.
- Motivated with an energetic spirit, innovative in crafting proposals and solutions.
- Determination and resilience under challenging situations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize important activities, and work to defined metrics.
Education
- Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
