Who are Tyk, and what do we do? The Tyk API Management platform helps to drive the connected world and power new products and services. We’re changing the way that organisations connect any number of their systems and services. Whether internal, external, public or highly encrypted systems, Tyk helps businesses drive value across the retail, finance, telecoms, healthcare, or media industries (to name just a few!). If you’ve banked online, used an app to check the news, or perhaps even driven a connected car, APIs, and by extension, Tyk, make that possible.

Founded in 2015 with offices in London, UK, London, Ontario, Atlanta and Singapore, we have many thousands of users of our B2B platform across the globe. Brands using Tyk range from Lotte, Bell, T Mobile, to RBS, Capital One and Vinci. We have a varied user base hailing from every continent – even Antarctica.

The role: As an Account Manager at Tyk, you own and develop long‑term relationships with our customers. Tyk provides a technical platform used by engineering teams to build, secure, and operate APIs that power modern digital services. Increasingly, those APIs are also becoming the connective layer for AI‑powered systems and intelligent applications, and our customers rely on Tyk to manage that complexity at scale. In this role, you are the commercial owner of a portfolio of accounts, responsible for maintaining strong partnerships and ensuring customers continue to realise value from the platform over time.

Our customers often operate in complex technical environments with multiple stakeholders across engineering, platform, and leadership teams. Success in this role comes from understanding those environments, building trusted relationships, and connecting customers with the right expertise within Tyk to help them move forward. You’ll work closely with colleagues across sales, product, and technical teams, ensuring customers have the support and clarity they need while maintaining ownership of the overall commercial relationship.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience owning customer relationships in a B2B SaaS or enterprise technology environment
  • A track record of managing commercial customer relationships, including renewals and account growth
  • Experience working with technical products or engineering‑led organisations
  • Ability to build relationships across both technical and business stakeholders
  • Confidence leading commercial conversations and navigating complex customer environments
  • Strong organisation, communication, and follow‑through
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver successful customer outcomes

About you:

  • You enjoy working with technically sophisticated products and customers
  • You build trusted relationships across complex organisations
  • You’re comfortable owning commercial outcomes and guiding long‑term partnerships
  • You’re proactive, organised, and able to navigate ambiguity
  • You enjoy connecting people and expertise to solve meaningful problems for customers

Benefits:

  • Everyone has unlimited paid holidays.
  • We have total flexibility in hours, as we believe creativity flows better when our people are given freedom to decide when they are most productive.
  • Employee share scheme.
  • Generous maternity and paternity leave.
  • 401k, vision, dental.
