About Us

We're the production team behind Friend, a Minecraft roleplay channel with over 1.5 million subscribers and 250M+ long‑form views in the past year. Our content is scripted, directed, and produced in‑house with a team of voice actors, writers, editors, developers, and artists.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Editor to join our post‑production pipeline. You'll be responsible for assembling raw footage into structured rough cuts, syncing and arranging voice actor audio, and acting as the first line of quality control before senior review. This is a part‑time, remote role with strict working hours; you must be available and actively working during the scheduled window.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble raw Minecraft footage into rough cuts following provided scripts and scene breakdowns
  • Cut bad takes, dead air, and unusable footage
  • Sync and arrange voice actor audio to the correct scenes and timings
  • Review assembled edits for errors, continuity issues, and missing assets
  • Flag issues and request fixes from the production team with clear, specific notes
  • Communicate with voice actors regarding retakes or audio quality issues
  • Maintain organised project files and follow established naming conventions
  • Meet deadlines consistently within the scheduled working hours

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Strong understanding of basic editing principles: pacing, continuity, audio sync
  • Highly organised and detail‑oriented — you're catching mistakes, not making them
  • Clear, professional written communication (you'll be liaising with VAs and production staff daily)
  • Reliable internet connection and a machine capable of editing 1080p+ footage
  • Able to commit to the fixed schedule — this is not a 'work whenever' role

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Minecraft content or gaming YouTube
  • Experience working in a remote production team
  • Understanding of YouTube audience retention and pacing for younger audiences
  • Basic knowledge of audio cleanup or normalisation

How to Apply

Send us:

  • A brief intro, who you are and why this role interests you
  • Your showreel or 2–3 examples of editing work (YouTube links, portfolio, or similar)
  • Your availability and confirmation you can commit to the scheduled hours
  • Your expected rate per assembly
