Why This Role Matters

Tŷ Llandaff has an established team, strong occupancy, an excellent regulatory position and a very positive reputation within its community. The challenge isn’t to arrive and change everything. It’s to understand why Tŷ Llandaff works, earn the confidence of an established team and ensure the standards that have made the home successful are protected. From there, we want someone ambitious enough to ask, ‘What can we do even better?’ We’re looking for a leader who respects what’s already been achieved but has the experience, confidence and ambition to continue moving the home forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll have overall accountability for the quality, people, commercial and operational performance of Tŷ Llandaff.
  • Your immediate priority will be ensuring a smooth leadership transition and maintaining stability for residents, relatives and colleagues.
  • You’ll work closely with your leadership team to sustain the home’s excellent regulatory position, protect its positive culture and continue developing and engaging colleagues.
  • You’ll also take ownership of occupancy and commercial performance, ensuring the home remains sustainable and successful without compromising the quality of care or resident experience.
  • Tŷ Llandaff has strong relationships with residents’ families, healthcare professionals and its local community, and you’ll become an important part of maintaining and developing those relationships.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who already understands what excellent care-home leadership looks like. You’ll have previous care-home management experience, ideally within a home of comparable size and complexity, alongside a strong regulatory track record. You’ll be able to demonstrate success in developing high-performing teams, maintaining strong quality standards and delivering positive commercial outcomes. A nursing qualification is not essential where you are an experienced Registered Manager. Level 5 Leadership & Management is required.

Your leadership style matters just as much as your experience. We want somebody supportive, authentic, visible and accountable - a leader who develops and empowers colleagues while remaining clear about standards and performance. You’ll understand that inheriting a successful home doesn’t mean standing still. It means knowing what to protect, where to challenge and when to make things even better.
