TXT e-Tech, part of the TXT Group, is looking for Project Engineer positions to join one of our clients for the Aerospace & Aviation division.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager – Core Platform Integration, the included figures will be independently responsible for overseeing the technical deliverables and performance of a portfolio of assigned suppliers (LSSI), typically on domains such as Propulsion, G2E. Additionally, they will manage the daily technical interface between suppliers and Procurement, chair delivery reviews around their own perimeter, and conduct technical risk analyses, bringing to the attention of senior figures the critical issues impacting program milestones. Finally, they will contribute to the evolution of supplier technical management processes and tools.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure the technical interface between customer and assigned suppliers for delivery performance, in coordination with the relevant Engineering Managers;
  • Autonomously coordinate and monitor the delivery commitments of the suppliers in your portfolio (schedule, logistics readiness, capacity alignment), alongside the team's junior resources,
  • Prepare and conduct periodic technical performance reviews, ensuring follow-up of open actions until closure;
  • Manage and report on the status of suppliers with respect to technical KPIs (OTDs, responsiveness, escalation), producing reporting for program management;
  • Identify current and emerging delivery risks, define mitigation plans, and verify their effectiveness with suppliers and internal stakeholders;
  • Activate and manage the first-level escalation, preparing the technical elements to support the escalations towards management;
  • Preside over the continuity of the supply chain from a technical point of view, managing early-warning signals and contributing to recovery planning;
  • Ensure coordination between supplier and Engineering Manager as points of contact for the technical authority;
  • Keep internal and external stakeholders informed about schedule changes, capabilities, and related program impacts;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply technical management processes, templates and tools.

Required technical skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in supplier/vendor technical management, program/project engineering, industrialization or technical supply chain, preferably in Aerospace & Defense or related regulated sectors;
  • Direct and documentable experience in the operational management of a supplier portfolio (delivery monitoring, review, criticality management);
  • Knowledge of technical procurement processes and supplier contractual dynamics;
  • Mastery of supplier performance KPIs (OTDs, responsiveness, escalation) and risk management processes;
  • Ability to independently manage meetings and reviews with internal and external technical interlocutors;
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (the program's working language).

Nice to have

  • Experience on international multi-partner programmes or in joint venture / consortium contexts Knowledge of the relevant technical domains (propulsion, power generation and distribution systems, avionics, mechanical systems);
  • Familiarity with industry quality regulations and systems (EN/AS 9100, ISO 9001) and with FAI and supplier qualification processes;
  • Experience in structured problem solving (8D, RCA, Ishikawa) applied to non‑compliance or supply delays Notions of Lean / Six Sigma applied to the supply chain (Green Belt certification as plus);
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (specifications, drawings, BOM, configuration requirements);
  • Supplier-side capacity and production planning experience Knowledge of ERP/MRP (SAP, Oracle) and supplier performance management tools;
  • Mastery of project & risk management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira) and reporting tools (Advanced Excel, Power BI);
  • First experience of supporting or mentoring junior resources; Knowledge of additional consortium languages (Japanese, English as advanced L2 already covered);
  • Certifications in project or supply chain management (PMP, PRINCE2, APICS/ASCM CPIM-CSCP) considered a plus;
  • Familiarity with contexts subject to export control regulations and security/no-obstacle requirements.

Soft skills

  • Operational autonomy: the ability to manage one's supplier perimeter without supervision, but knowing when to scale up
  • Ownership and accountability: a sense of responsibility for the delivery results of one's portfolio, not just the assigned tasks;
  • Communication and stakeholder management: effectiveness in translating technical content for different audiences (supplier, Engineering, Procurement, Program Management, client), into Italian and English;
  • Proactive problem solving: oriented towards anticipating problems through early-warning signal, with solution proposals already trained;
  • Organizing and managing priorities: simultaneous control of multiple suppliers and workstreams;
  • Adaptability: Flexibility with respect to scenario changes on schedules, capabilities and program priorities.

Education

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronic, Management or related Engineering.

Logistics

Turin, moving to customer premises in the United Kingdom from 2027.
