Role Overview
TXP is seeking an SC Cleared AWS Technical Architect to provide independent technical assurance of a live service.
The role will focus on reviewing architecture, engineering practices, operational readiness, security and service resilience, producing clear findings and recommendations for our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Review the existing AWS architecture and service design.
Assess scalability, resilience, security and maintainability.
Evaluate engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, testing and documentation.
Identify technical risks, debt and operational issues.
Conduct independent assurance and challenge supplier evidence.
Produce assurance reports and prioritised recommendations.
Present findings to technical and senior stakeholders.
Essential Skills
Active SC Clearance.
AWS architecture expertise (EKS, MSK/Kafka, RDS Postgre SQL, Elasti Cache/Redis, S3, ECR, Cloud Front, WAF, KMS, SSM Parameter Store, Secrets Manager, Cloud Watch, IAM/IRSA, Terraform/Terragrunt Ia C).
Experience reviewing live production systems.
Strong understanding of Dev Ops, CI/CD and operational support models.
Technical assurance, architecture review or audit experience.
Public sector and GDS service assessment experience.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
Ideal Candidate A Principal/Lead Architect with experience independently assessing cloud-based government services, identifying risks and providing pragmatic recommendations to support service maturity and long-term sustainability
