Role Description:
We are seeking a semi-experienced individual to collaborate with a team of six scheduling engineers. Your role will involve supporting and maintaining the complexities of scheduling across the estate, investigating and resolving live issues, and validating new versions of our clients' scheduling tools. This includes setting up full environments with server root access.
You will need in-depth knowledge of scheduling products such as IBM Workload Scheduler and SOS Berlin JobScheduler to respond quickly to service requests and provide efficient scheduling solutions. Additionally, you will work closely with Architects to consider the risks and consequences of changes.
Required Skills:
- Background in UNIX and Java scripting
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies
- Proficiency with Atlassian Tools, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and AWS
Optional Skills:
- Strong team player with good troubleshooting and organisational skills
- Willingness to take initiative and apply common sense
Certification:
AWS / Scheduling certifications are a plus, but not essential.
