Overview

We are seeking experienced Business Analysts to join a major reinsurance integration programme, supporting the design and implementation of critical processes across reinsurance systems. This role will focus on functional analysis, system integration, and end-to-end process optimisation across underwriting, accounting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Internal Reinsurer Rating & Contract Documentation
    • Design and enhance internal reinsurer rating frameworks
    • Develop, maintain, and quality assure reinsurance contract documentation (treaty & facultative)
    • Define and map:
      • Contract parameters
      • Clauses and structures
    • Support system implementation (e.g., SAP FS-RI or similar platforms)
  • Integration: Primary Insurance ↔ Reinsurance Systems
    • Analyse and deliver integration solutions between:
      • Policy administration systems
      • Premium systems
      • Claims systems
      • Reinsurance platforms
    • Define and document:
      • Data models
      • Interfaces & mappings
      • Reconciliation processes
    • Ensure data quality, consistency, and auditability across systems

Functional Experience (Desirable)

  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
    • Underwriting (risk analysis, underwriting workflows)
    • Ceded Reinsurance / Retrocession
    • Technical Accounting (booking, settlement, reconciliation within reinsurance)

Target Profile - Senior Business Analyst

  • Strong track record as a BA within insurance/reinsurance programmes
  • Experience with SAP FS-RI or similar reinsurance systems
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Requirements gathering & analysis
    • Functional design
    • End-to-end (E2E) process design across underwriting, accounting, and reporting
  • Proven delivery experience in:
    • Data & integration projects
    • Interfaces, mappings, and data reconciliation
  • Strong stakeholder management across business, IT, and finance teams
  • Experience facilitating workshops and driving outcomes
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum / SAFe)
  • Structured documentation and strong delivery focus
  • German language skills highly advantageous
