The Business Development Director, Mainframe Modernisation, will drive revenue growth and market share for TXP’s Mainframe Modernisation portfolio initially CA-GEN establishing a Broadcom (CA) managed services and exit service. This sales role will help to execute the go-to-market strategy and develop deep relationships with an existing pipeline of enterprise and public sector clients and relevant System Integrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of a successful team executing TXP’s go‑to‑market strategy for Mainframe Modernisation working closely with product management, aligned to the Group growth plan and wider legacy strategy.
- Execute on an existing pipeline of large, complex Mainframe modernisation opportunities across enterprise and public sector clients.
- Develop trusted relationships with key System Integrators, Partners, Client CIOs / CTOs / Heads of Infrastructure, and Transformation leaders, positioning TXP as a long‑term Mainframe modernisation partner.
- Originate and close additional high‑value, multi‑year Mainframe modernisation programmes covering application and database transformation and managed services.
- Work closely with delivery, solution architecture and partner teams to shape compelling propositions for major clients.
- Own their own sales forecasting, pipeline, deal quality and commercial discipline for the Mainframe portfolio.
- Represent TXP at relevant industry events, client roundtables and partner forums as a visible advocate for Mainframe modernisation.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of selling Mainframe modernisation or similar large‑scale infrastructure / application transformation programmes.
- Understanding of application modernisation approaches desirable.
- Experience closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals with values typically £1m–£10m+.
- Credibility engaging at executive level, with the ability to link digital transformation to cost, risk, resilience and business agility outcomes.
- Background operating in regulated industries such as financial services, insurance or public sector.
- Strong commercial acumen across pricing, deal structuring, commercial risk and long‑term margin management.
- Demonstrable structured approach to deal management with complex sets of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and executive‑level presentation skills.
