Overview
We're looking for a Lead Analytics Engineer to drive the design and delivery of scalable data models, pipelines, and analytics solutions. You'll sit between data engineering and analytics, enabling high-quality, trusted datasets for reporting and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data models for analytics (e.g. star schema)
- Develop and maintain data pipelines / transformations
- Define and implement data standards, quality, and governance
- Enable self-service analytics through well-structured datasets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions
- Lead best practice across modelling, documentation, and performance
- Support and mentor analysts / engineers within the team
Skills & Experience
- Strong SQL and data transformation experience (e.g. dbt or similar)
- Proven experience building analytics layers / semantic models
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure / Fabric preferred)
- Strong Power BI or equivalent BI tooling
- Experience working with stakeholders in a delivery-focused environment
Desirable:
- Python or other scripting languages
- Experience leading or mentoring teams
- Exposure to modern data stack tooling
