Identity Architect Rate: Up to £495 per day inside IR35 Duration: 3-6 months Location: London (Remote with occasional onsite visits) Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance essential Overview We are looking for an experienced Identity Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of complex enterprise identity solutions within a large-scale transformation programme. This role requires a recognised identity specialist with deep expertise across multi-directory enterprise environments and a strong track record of defining and governing identity solutions. You will act as the technical lead for identity architecture, working closely with senior stakeholders, programme management, development teams, and automation functions to ensure successful delivery against business objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end architecture and solution design for enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives. Define and own identity solution frameworks, standards, and technical requirements. Develop and maintain target-state identity architectures across complex multi-directory environments. Translate business requirements into scalable and secure identity solutions. Provide technical leadership for identity-related development and automation activities. Steer requirements gathering, shaping technical direction and ensuring alignment with programme objectives. Work closely with Account Leadership Teams and PMO functions to provide technical oversight and maintain delivery progress. Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring dependencies, risks, and governance requirements are effectively controlled. Oversee identity workflow governance and supporting payloads to ensure alignment with overall programme goals. Provide expert guidance on identity strategy, architecture decisions, and implementation best practices. Support technical assurance, design reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities throughout the project lifecycle.Essential Experience Proven experience operating as an Identity Architect within large enterprise environments. Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles, architecture, and governance. Extensive experience designing and implementing solutions across multi-directory environments. Strong capability in defining technical requirements and translating them into deliverable solutions. Experience leading architecture and solutioning activities across complex programmes. Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, programme leadership teams, and delivery functions. Strong understanding of identity workflows, governance, and automation capabilities. Experience managing multiple parallel workstreams and coordinating technical delivery activities.
