Job Description

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Contract)Location: Hybrid (with occasional travel to Manchester or London for key meetings)Duration: 3-6 Months initial

Overview:Our client is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise environment within Central Government. This is a hybrid role, with occasional travel required for key meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions in cloud-native environments.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers and stakeholders to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure performance monitoring and governance across large-scale systems.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance using GitLab.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience working within Central Government environments.
  • Background in managing infrastructure for large enterprise estates.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and cloud-native technologies.

Hands-on experience with:
