Our leading consultancy client is setting up a GitLab-based DevOps toolchain (with IBM DBB + UCD) across 4 different Business Units (countries) - each with its own mainframe environment. To provide detailed setup inputs (precise software, network, etc. details).

The successful candidate will be an experienced IBM Z DevOps Specialist, with deep hands-on experience setting up GitLab-based mainframe toolchains using IBM Dependency Based Build and IBM UrbanCode Deploy.

Program: Programme GitLab-based IBM Z DevOps toolchain setup across four countries using IBM DDB and IBM UrbanCode Deploy.

Engagement focus: Hands-on toolchain setup leadership, infrastructure input definition, environment design and delivery coordination.

Experience required:

  • Strong hands-on experience in setting up a similar GitLab-based Mainframe DevOps toolchain to lead the toolchain setup exercise.
  • Practical IBM Dependency Based Build experience, including integration into a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Practical IBM UrbanCode Deploy experience for controlled mainframe deployment and promotion workflows.
  • Strong IBM Z/OS integration knowledge across build, deployment, security and connectivity requirements.
  • Ability to define precise infrastructure setup inputs, including software prerequisites, network connectivity, ports, certifications, access, service accounts and operational dependencies.
  • Deep hands-on experience setting up GitLab-based mainframe toolchains using IBM Dependency Based Build and IBM UrbanCode Deploy.
  • Experience with hands-on toolchain setup across multiple environments or business units.
