About the Role:
We are looking for experienced IT/EPOS Engineers to support a national PC replacement project for a leading pub and restaurant operator, covering 385 sites across the UK. This is a field-based role, working in regionalised areas.
Engineers will follow a detailed deployment script to:
- Complete a backup of the legacy PC
- Deinstall and safely repackage the old hardware (labelling the return box)
- Install and network-connect the new PC
- Perform testing and obtain site sign-off
Each engineer will complete 2 sites per day, starting from 7am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed procedures for legacy system decommissioning and new system setup
- Ensure installations meet client standards and complete all required testing and documentation
- Troubleshoot issues and escalate where necessary
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience with EPOS or IT hardware installations
- Proven field engineering background with ability to work independently
- Full UK driving license and own vehicle (valid business insurance and MOT, MUST be supplied)
- Smart phone for sign off
- DBS check will be completed
Job Details & Benefits:
- Contract: Start Monday 2nd June (likely week prior, remote for 1 day) - July 2025
- Pay: £175 per day
- Additional Payments: 25p per mile for mileage after 100 miles travelled per day
- Meal allowance for overnight work
- Expenses covered for parking, tolls, congestion charges
- Based on 10 hour day (8 hour of work, 1 hour allowed for travel either side of shift)
- Schedule: 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday. 2 sites per day, 7am starts
- Payment: Outside IR35, weekly via umbrella company or Ltd (Ltd company contractors must supply relevant insurances)
