As a QA Engineer/Analyst within our clients Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of critical systems and platforms that support national defence operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and policies.

QA Engineer - Job Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a QA/Test Engineer with a focus on both application and infrastructure testing.
  • Strong background in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience validating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) changes (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly within OpenShift or similar containerized environments.
  • Ability to define and implement quality gates in CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including security considerations in testing and release processes.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar) to support test automation and pipeline integration.
  • Comfortable working in agile and fast-paced development environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with container orchestration and monitoring tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in a QA/testing capacity.
  • Knowledge of static code analysis tools and vulnerability scanners (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk).
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
