As a QA Engineer/Analyst within our clients Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of critical systems and platforms that support national defence operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and policies.
QA Engineer - Job Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a QA/Test Engineer with a focus on both application and infrastructure testing.
- Strong background in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
- Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience validating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) changes (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly within OpenShift or similar containerized environments.
- Ability to define and implement quality gates in CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including security considerations in testing and release processes.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar) to support test automation and pipeline integration.
- Comfortable working in agile and fast-paced development environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with container orchestration and monitoring tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in a QA/testing capacity.
- Knowledge of static code analysis tools and vulnerability scanners (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
