Our client, an IT Services provider, is looking for an additional IT Deskside Engineer to provide hardware and software support, both remotely and deskside on IT products within the required Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Key Responsibilities

  • To replace desktops, laptops and mobile devices as like for like and enabling a quick resolution with minimum inconvenience to the end user.
  • Perform Break fix on all desktop and mobile IT equipment.
  • To perform IMAC activities.
  • Installation and support of software products not managed by second line support or SCCM.
  • Covering hardware, software, networking, telephony and printing.
  • Provide IT clinics in all major sites to provide proactive support to end users.
  • Provide onsite support to third party companies providing a service.
  • Undertake office setup, relocation or closure as required.
  • Also including emergency response to serious events such as fire, flood, infestation, structural failure or asbestos contamination.
  • Provide support for Hardware refresh and projects.
  • Complete all allocated calls and maintain regular contact with call scheduler.
  • Refer to relevant procedures to perform role.
  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the corporate Intranet.
  • Periodically review Security Policies - centrally hosted on the Intranet - to ensure full compliance with current legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.
