Design Lead (UX) – 8 week contract • Inside IR35 • Hybrid - 2-3 days on site per week in London
We are looking for an experienced Design Lead to join the client’s team and take ownership of end‑to‑end design across the Smart Data Repository (SDR) platform. This role will lead the design, build and test phases for key SDR components and ensure seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics. As Design Lead, you will work closely with product, engineering and data teams to define user‑centred design approaches, translate complex requirements into clear design solutions, and guide multidisciplinary teams through prototyping, governance and delivery. You’ll ensure the platform is intuitive, scalable and aligned with user needs, data governance standards and organisational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead design across the Smart Data Repository (SDR) platform, including design, build and test phases for key components, and ensure seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and data teams to define user‑centred design approaches and translate complex requirements into clear design solutions.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams through prototyping, governance and delivery to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
- Ensure the SDR platform is intuitive, scalable and aligned with user needs, data governance standards and organisational strategy.
Qualifications
- Proven background as a Design Lead or Senior Designer on large‑scale digital/data platforms.
- Hands‑on experience with Smart Data Repository (SDR) – design, build and test.
- Microsoft Dynamics (design & configuration exposure).
- Strong service design, interaction design and prototyping skills.
- Ability to lead design direction within agile, multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
