Overview

We're looking for a Data Management Specialist to support the development of enterprise-wide data management capabilities within a major insurance transformation programme. This is a strategic, framework-focused role centred around defining operating models, governance standards, ownership structures, and data management best practices across the insurance value chain. Working closely with the Head of Data Management, you'll help shape scalable governance and data management approaches across underwriting, claims, policy, finance, and distribution domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve enterprise data management frameworks covering:
    • Data governance
    • Data quality
    • Metadata & cataloguing
    • Master & reference data
  • Develop target operating models and governance approaches
  • Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models
  • Establish standards for:
    • Data quality
    • Data lineage
    • Metadata management
    • Product master data
  • Support tooling strategy across catalogue, lineage, and governance capabilities
  • Work closely with business, architecture, engineering, and compliance teams
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data management practices

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in enterprise data management and governance
  • Experience designing data management frameworks and operating models
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data quality
    • Metadata management
    • Master/reference data
    • Data governance practices
  • Experience working across enterprise environments and complex stakeholder groups
  • Ability to operate strategically rather than purely operationally

Nice to Have

  • Insurance domain experience, particularly across:
