Bid Writer Opportunity | Environmental & Waste Sector | Colnbrook (Hybrid/Flexible Working) I\’m currently recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the environmental services industry, seeking a skilled and motivated Bid Writer to join their commercial team. 📍 Location: Colnbrook 🕒 Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with flexibility required around deadlines) 💼 The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable waste management solutions across a variety of sectors. You\’ll play a key role in producing high-quality bid submissions, from initial research through to delivery, working with stakeholders across the business. The role combines technical writing, innovation, and project coordination – ideal for someone with a passion for environmental improvement and service excellence. 🔧 Key Responsibilities: Write and coordinate compelling bid responses for public and private sector clients Attend site visits with the Commercial team to understand contract requirements Support in developing tailored, innovative waste management solutions Proofread and refine submissions for clarity, accuracy, and compliance Research emerging technologies and industry developments to enhance bids Assist with the preparation of PQQs and ITTs, working to tight deadlines ✅ What We\’re Looking For: Experience in bid writing Excellent written English with strong proofreading and editorial skills Highly organised, with strong attention to detail A keen interest in sustainability and environmental services Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Degree-educated (preferred) Full UK driving licence required This is a great step for someone looking to grow their career in a dynamic, fast-evolving industry where your work will directly contribute to a more sustainable future
