Our leading financial services client in the Midlands is undergoing a Cloud migration process - lift and shift (rehosting) from On Prem to the Cloud (Azure), and now need an experienced DevOps Tooling Lead to be technically proficient in leading the team to good practice and implement recently defined technical standards.
The ideal candidate will have been on that Cloud journey, with a clear understanding of the technology - someone who can look at both ends and know why something's broken - it's the nuts-and-bolts technical leadership they now need!
We are looking for someone who could combine strong technical depth with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and take people on a journey - both within the team and with wider stakeholders - particularly when it comes to leading conversations, managing differing opinions, and bringing others with you.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid high-level understanding and show good capability as an engineer with hands-on delivery experience.
- Recent Team Lead/Mentoring experience
- Technical Lead experience
- Strong DevOps tooling/engineering background (Azure Cloud)
- Experience working as a Senior Platform Engineer/SRE/Lead
- Experience managing a Cloud migration process - lift and shift (rehosting) from On Prem to the Cloud
- Experience in Cloud guardrails for Azure
- Good capability as an engineer and hands-on delivery experience
- Experience implementing cloud strategies
- Experience defining and implementing tool chains
