Overview
We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a multidisciplinary government team, supporting the delivery and operation of complex internal platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can contribute from day one, with strong experience across AWS, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. The team is looking for an engineer who champions automation and modern DevOps practices rather than relying on manual infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS environments
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and ideally EKS
- Work closely with engineers, analysts, and product teams to support delivery of complex platforms
- Write clear technical documentation, tickets, and progress updates
- Identify and resolve technical issues while promoting engineering best practices
- Ensure security, IAM, and access control considerations are addressed
