Quality Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within modern agile teams, influence quality practices end-to-end, and play a key role in delivering secure, high-quality solutions across a variety of technology stacks. What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with cross-functional agile teams (typically 4–8 engineers), contributing across the full testing lifecycle.
  • Perform detailed test analysis and design for complex, integrated systems, often in regulated environments.
  • Apply modern quality practices such as TDD, BDD and risk-based testing.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and promote shift-left quality approaches.
  • Provide assurance and testing across all levels, including:
  • Unit, Component and Component Integration Testing (CIT)
  • System, Integration and End-to-End (E2E) testing
  • Non-Functional Testing (NFR)
  • Support UAT and BAT where required
  • Manage test data, artefacts and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to business requirements analysis when needed.
  • Collaborate with developers through pair-programming.
  • Mentor and support less experienced testing colleagues.
  • Work in line with TXP’s technical, quality and service standards.
  • Support a wider range of testing initiatives such as automation, performance and penetration testing.
  • What we’re looking for

    • Strong experience as a Quality Engineer or Test Automation professional, ideally within agile and enterprise-scale environments.
    • Strong understanding of agile, iterative delivery.
    • Confidence working to defined policies, standards and quality frameworks.
    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, coaching mindset.
    • Testing & Automation: Non-Functional Testing: DevOps & Platforms: Git / GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure and/or AWS.
    • Strong track record of delivering high-quality testing outcomes.
    • Detail-focused, quality-driven and proactive.
    • Energy, enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude.
    • Flexibility to travel to customer sites when required.
