AI Strategy and Experimentation Lead9 months with scope to extend600 – 650 P/D Inside IR35Hybrid, 2 days on site per week in London, Manchester or Bristol – Some weeks may be more, some may be less BPSS clearance We’re seeking an experienced Head of AI Strategy & Innovation to lead a high-profile programme exploring the impact of external AI platforms on digital channels and user journeys.

Combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, you’ll develop future-facing recommendations, lead experimentation programmes, and build relationships with leading AI and technology partners.

This is an opportunity to influence senior decision-making and shape how organisations engage with emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities Lead a strategic programme assessing the impact of AI platforms and tools on user engagement and content discovery.

Develop a clear vision and roadmap for the role of AI-enabled channels within the wider digital strategy.

Design and oversee pilots, experiments and test-and-learn initiatives to evaluate potential opportunities and risks.

Build evidence-based recommendations for senior leaders, translating complex challenges into actionable decisions.

Develop partnerships with AI providers and technology organisations to explore collaboration opportunities.

Establish governance, reporting, risk management and delivery frameworks for the programme.

Work across product, research, analytics, content, technology and operational teams to drive alignment and delivery.

Present findings, strategic options and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive audiences.

About You You’ll bring experience in: Leading complex strategy, innovation, transformation or digital programmes.

Delivering evidence-based recommendations for senior decision-makers.

Designing and running pilots, experimentation programmes or innovation initiatives.

Influencing and building consensus across multidisciplinary teams.

Managing senior stakeholder relationships, including external partners.

Operating at the intersection of technology, customer needs and organisational strategy.

Producing clear, high-quality papers, presentations and executive briefings.

Desirable Experience AI, machine learning, search technologies, digital platforms, APIs or emerging technology strategy.

Large-scale digital transformation or change programmes.

Commercial or strategic technology partnerships.
