The Senior Azure Technical Architect will be the senior technical SME for Azure for the Architect Team, helping ensure that the design is fit for purpose in the Pre-Sales cycle.
The primary job responsibilities include:
- 40% Assisting the Presales process
- 60% Solution design and Delivery
Key Accountabilities
- Provide technical assistance to the pre-sales process to ensure implementations and designs fulfil both customer requirements and operational standards
- Technical Authority for solution designs
- Pricing technical solutions
- Contribute to bid team presentations when requested
- Responsibility for all aspects of Azure infrastructure designs produced; from security by design to creating accompanying high-quality documentation
- Provide feedback / peer review on designs produced by colleagues in the Azure Practice
- Listen to feedback from client teams and constantly seek to improve the services we offer
- Help to mentor other architects
Skills and Experience:
- Strong advocate for Infrastructure as code (IaC) and have a strong understanding of Terraform
- Key technology skills: MS Azure Migration from On-Prem/Cloud to Azure Platform, Microsoft SQL, Storage and Networking, infrastructure AZ-300/303, AZ-301/304 Desired (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of deployment orchestration and configuration management tools (Terraform, Chef, Ansible)
- Deep understanding of Azure migration paths
- Security best practice experience
- Understanding of Microsoft Adoption Framework
- A strong understanding of the Azure ecosystem
- Experience with moving customers into Azure from on-premises environments such as re-hosting or refactoring customers environments
- Depth of experience within traditional technical on premise and hosted architecture, as well as growing hybrid and pure cloud solutions knowledge
- Azure Technical skills with understanding of the public cloud landscape
