Position
Job title: HR Advisor (FTC 12 months may be extended or become permanent)
Hours/Days: 38 hours per week
Location: Hybrid with ability to travel across UK as needed
Reporting to: HR Business Partner / HRD
Responsible for: Overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes including TUPE and Managed Services.
The HR Advisor will provide professional HR Advisory support to TXO with a specific focus on TUPE transfers and mobilisation projects. This role will ensure the smooth transition of employees in and out of the organisation in line with legislation, company policy, and best practice. The HR Advisor will act as a key point of contact for both employees and managers, providing advice, guidance, and hands-on support throughout the TUPE process. Your mission is to drive organisational effectiveness, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of innovation and engagement. You will be a TUPE Specialist with previous experience of managed services.
Responsibilities
- TUPE Mobilisation
- Support the end-to-end management of TUPE transfers, including due diligence, consultation, and employee communication.
- Work closely with managers, legal advisors, and employee representatives to ensure compliance with TUPE legislation.
- Coordinate employee data gathering, transfer schedules, and information-sharing with all stakeholders.
- Support integration activities post-transfer, including induction, systems set-up, and alignment with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to evidence compliance.
- Employee and manager support
- Oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes including HR Process and Compliance, Performance Management, Training and Development, Culture and Wellbeing, Company Policies.
- Cultivate strong partnerships throughout the organization, people strategies to create high-performing and an engaged workforce.
- Design and implement HR initiatives that are customized to meet the unique needs of the business, driving performance and goal achievement.
- Serve as a credible HR leader and business partner, owning end-to-end execution of HR functions while identifying and driving meaningful change.
- Ensure the site attracts, develops, and retains top talent at all levels, maintaining a continuous and diverse talent pipeline.
- Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team to align people strategies with business goals, positioning HR as a key enabler of site success.
- Partner with HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) to proactively deliver initiatives that align with overall business and HR strategies.
- Lead cultural change efforts through strategic HR programs with a strong focus on talent management, employee development, and leadership coaching.
- Present relevant HR metrics and insights to guide business decisions, ensuring that human resources strategies drive measurable impact.
- Be both strategic and hands-on, providing expertise across organizational development, coaching, change management, compensation, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
Requirements
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience across multiple HR functions (e.g., staffing, compensation, benefits, labour law), with leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Ideally experienced in blue collar environments – telecommunications, logistics, engineering etc.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent time management skills with a flexible approach to work.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Ideally CIPD qualified or recognised HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR).
