An established and highly regarded residential developer is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager / Senior Site Manager to join their growing construction team in the Chester area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work, delivering high-quality residential developments with a focus on programme, quality, and health & safety.
The successful candidate will have strong experience managing fast-paced residential projects and must have extensive knowledge of timber frame construction.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day site operations from inception through to completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on site
- Oversee timber frame installation and sequencing
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
- Drive programme performance and proactively resolve site issues
- Maintain excellent health & safety standards across the development
- Liaise with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the build process
- Produce and maintain accurate site records and reporting
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager within residential construction
- Extensive timber frame experience is essential
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades within fast-paced programmes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of health & safety compliance and site management procedures
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred
