An established and highly regarded residential developer is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager / Senior Site Manager to join their growing construction team in the Chester area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work, delivering high-quality residential developments with a focus on programme, quality, and health & safety.

The successful candidate will have strong experience managing fast-paced residential projects and must have extensive knowledge of timber frame construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations from inception through to completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on site
  • Oversee timber frame installation and sequencing
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
  • Drive programme performance and proactively resolve site issues
  • Maintain excellent health & safety standards across the development
  • Liaise with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the build process
  • Produce and maintain accurate site records and reporting
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager within residential construction
  • Extensive timber frame experience is essential
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple trades within fast-paced programmes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of health & safety compliance and site management procedures
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred
