The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a 6-month temporary assignment to lead the delivery of a mechanical project valued at approximately £500k. You will be responsible for managing the project from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the mechanical project
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting
- Resolve technical and operational challenges efficiently
- Ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction throughout
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager (ideally within £250k–£1m project range)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
- Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
- First Aid at Work certification
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (preferred)
