The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including electric vehicles, LCVs, and HGVs. Working in a modern, fully equipped workshop, you’ll carry out inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles safe and operational.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
- Maintain a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment
- Use your own tools alongside specialist workshop equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards
Working Hours
- 39.5 hours per week
- Rotating shifts:
- Week 1: 06:00 – 14:30
- Week 2: Monday - Thursday 12:30 – 21:00 Friday 10:30 – 19:00
- 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday off)
Salary Details
£40,906 per annum, shift allowance of £90.21 per week when working the 12:30 - 21:00 shift. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£53.66 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable.

About You
- IMI Level 3 qualified (Light or Heavy Vehicle or equivalent)
- Proven experience working on a variety of vehicles (LCV/HGV)
- Own toolkit for routine maintenance
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable)
- High standards and attention to detail
