A confidential engineering organisation delivering complex, high-reliability electronic systems is seeking a Senior Electronics & Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing technical team.
This is a hands-on leadership role supporting the full product lifecycle — from concept and design through manufacturing, validation, production support, and continuous improvement.
You’ll work across multidisciplinary engineering teams, helping drive robust product realisation processes while mentoring junior engineers and supporting operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting electronic design activities
- System-level architecture and technical documentation
- Schematic capture and PCB layout
- Design reviews, approvals, and engineering sign-off
- Manufacturing process optimisation and technical production support
- Product verification, testing, and qualification activities
- Supporting design-for-manufacture and quality initiatives
- Customer and stakeholder technical engagement
- Mentoring engineers and supporting engineering development
We’re interested in candidates with experience in areas such as:
- Power electronics / power conversion design
- Mixed analogue & digital electronics
- PCB design and layout tools (Altium desirable)
- Manufacturing engineering within regulated or high-reliability industries
- EMC/EMI, thermal, and environmental design considerations
- Product qualification, testing, and technical documentation
- Low-volume / high-complexity engineering environments
Ideal background:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- Strong communication and leadership capability
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with design, production, quality, and projects
- Able to obtain security clearance
