Shifts: Working permanent nights
Location: Glasgow.
Qualification: SMSTS, CSCS or other relevant construction and Management qualification.
Site Supervisor is responsible for managing the workflow of their teams and sub-contractors by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results and reporting to senior management. They contribute to the efficiency of their project by reviewing and improving processes and setting targets for their teams.
Site Supervisors support their teams and assigned sub-contractors, help manage workflow and solve problems. They play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the business, monitor production and identify areas for improvement. Supervisors maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulations and ensure compliance among the teams and sub-contractors they oversee.
The Site Supervisor shall report to construction management. Compile data about their allocated teams and sub-contractors work and feedback about upcoming work packages and changes to processes.
The site supervisor shall line manage their teams and sub-contractors, completing inductions with new staff members including training and briefing on company policies.
They monitor individual progress, conduct appraisals and performance reviews and offer support and training to their staff.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the workflow of their teams and sub-contractors, ensuring efficient task allocation, staff support, performance monitoring, and reporting to senior management. Their key duties include:
Project Coordination & Workflow Management:
Assign tasks to teams and sub-contractors.
Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with project timelines.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
Team & Sub-Contractor Management:
Provide guidance and problem-solving support to teams and sub-contractors.
Conduct inductions for new staff, including training and policy briefings.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Track individual and team performance, conducting appraisals and performance reviews.
Offer training and development support to enhance team efficiency.
Report work progress, upcoming tasks, and process changes to construction management.
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications and Training:
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 year working in the Railway environment
Minimum 10 year working in the Construction environment
Suitable experience in reviewing and producing Safe Systems of Work in Rail and/or construction environment.
Supervisory experience of multi discipline sub-contractors
Experience of dealing with sub-contractor management
CITB SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) or CITB Gold Card Supervisors
IOSH Managing Safely essential
Level 3 in First Aid at Work
Suitable training Working at Height requirements
Suitable training in Manual Handling requirements

Abrasive Wheels and Small tools training
Desirable:
CITB SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme)
