We are currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Polishers from a body shop, accident repair, automotive, or similar background to join a long-term contract based in Crawley working on rolling stock and train carriages. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy train depot environment offering a competitive rate of 23.00 per hour (Outside IR35), working Monday to Friday on evening shifts from 11:00am to 20:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality machine polishing on train carriage paintwork
- Remove surface imperfections including swirl marks, holograms, and light scratches
- Prepare surfaces prior to polishing through cleaning, decontamination, and masking
- Apply protective finishes including waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings
- Ensure all work is completed to a high cosmetic and safety standard
- Follow all depot health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Polisher, Bodyshop Polisher, or similar role
